Dear friends: Could you answer this question when you hear the Word of God or when you come to Church and you receive Jesus in the most Holy Eucharist? I hope you can say yes indeed. It burns within me when I am close to Jesus both in word and in the sacrament of his Body and Blood.
Dear friends: As we continue to celebrate the feast of the Mystery of the Incarnation, God becoming man and making his dwelling among us. Today, the Church brings us before the manger to see in that little Child, God revealed to our eyes, giving us hope for eternal salvation.
We are now celebrating the Nativity of our Savior and how he came into the world to save us and to bring us to the Father. The beauty of his birth is that though he is God, he is born to us in a family; with Mary and Joseph who together make up the Holy Family of Nazareth. This is precisely what we are celebrating this weekend in the Church, the feast of the Holy Family calling all families, each member of the family to look on the Holy Family and see the very love and the mercy of our God manifested in the Child Jesus who is the Savior of the world.
